"Fear is a great motivator - just look at Krekk" - Lord Van Bloot

Krekk is an UnderWorld Creature in the Dawn of Perim set. It was re-released as Krekk, Phalanx Recon in the Alliances Unraveled set.

Appearance[]

Krekk is an UnderWorlder who appears as a thin yellow gargoyle with a cyclops-like face. He has pointed ears and a single horn on his head.

Description[]

Krekk operates mainly as a flying scout for the Underworld, but his loyalty is torn between Chaor and Lord Van Bloot, depending on who he fears most at the time. Krekk is also an opportunist and is often seen in a harassing role.

Background Information[]

Krekk is a Scout, spy and occasional UnderWorld Commander. This allows him to avoid actual combat, which works out well for Krekk because he’s a coward. Nonetheless, he can be a formidable opponent when forced to fight. Living near Gothos Tower, Krekk spends most of his time serving his leader. The question is: which one? Some say his allegiance lies with the treacherous, traitorous Lord Van Bloot. Or is he secretly loyal to Chaor? With a character as slippery as Krekk, it’s impossible to tell.

Krekk has constantly flipped loyalty between Chaor and Lord Van Bloot. However, by the M'arrillian Invasion, Krekk had become completely loyal to Lord Van Bloot and intimidated into submission by Emna'ool, the M'arrillian Chieftain sent to Gothos Tower. Krekk lead an aerial assault against the remaining UnderWorld Loyalists in UnderWorld City, defeating them and winning Lord Van Bloot the UnderWorld Throne. [citation needed]

After Aa'une's defeat by Chaor, Krekk was forced to retreat back to Gothos Tower. During Lord Van Bloot's brief exile, Krekk would patrol Gothos Tower and prepare for the day when Lord Van Bloot would return. When he did, his master greatly rewarded him, and Lord Van Bloot began another plan to take over the UnderWorld...
