Background Information[]
When a Creature launches a Coil Crush (usually with an arm, a tail or other appendage), the target is gripped and crushed in a way similar to the attack of a boa constrictor. This often does a limited amount of damage. However, if the Power of the Coil Crush is great enough, it will destroy a target Creature's Battlegear. This Attack can be of great strategic value, and it is only used by Creatures with great Power, such as Grook, Velreth or Lord Van Bloot.

Coil Crush seems to have a strong effect of destroying the opponent's equipped battlegear, but suffers from two strong downsides. Firstly, Coil Crush inflicts very little damage at a measely 5 for 3 build points, and furthermore, requires a stat check of 75 power to activate it's effect. Running the attack card Strengthening Bond is a much better alternative if you want to destroy battlegear, costing the exact same with the same stat check but dealing 10 more base damage. While Coil Crush can destroy a battlegear without dealing damage, Strengthening Bond deals much more damage for the same cost. Another better alternative is Terrantula Tackle which also costs 3, has 15 base + Earth 10 damage and destroy battlegear to creates with less than 50 power or speed.
