Appelai is humanoid in form with green leathery skin, a red mark/tattoo on his right thigh, and wears a hooded red cloak, which is a common garment of Mipedian Conjurors.
Background Information[]
Appelai is one of the eldest Conjurors in Perim. He was a mentor to many Conjurors, personally teaching Bylkian. During the M'arrillian Invasion, he and the Conjurors would be evicted from Rao'Pa Sahkk by Ihun'kalin. In an attempt to reclaim Rao'Pa Sahkk, the Conjurors would begin to create new warbeasts, such as Glost and Gaffat-ra, for the coming war.[citation needed]
Appelai is a formidable Mipedian Conjuror. By reversing the energy of the summoning vortexes, Appelai has found a way to channel Mugical energy from the Warbeasts to himself, whenever they are hit by Mugic or Mugical abilities.[1]

Like Savell, he has the ability to reduce recklessness by 10 for each mugic counter he has, except he starts with one instead of two. However, he has an additional ability to give him another mugic each time a Warbeast you control becomes the target of mugic or abilities. This can be incredibly useful as nearly all Chaotic decks have creatures that impose some ability on its opponents. In a large warbeast decks, have two Appelai, each with a Mipedian Balladeer’s Flute.
