Background Information[]
As Mount Pillar fell due to Neth'uar, Hiadrom began to search for the Danian's new home via tunneling. When the Citadel of the Elements was raised, he left this project and went on to uncovering the secrets the Cliffs of The Citadel held.
Strategy[]
The original Hiadrom has decent stats for a Danian fighter and boasts a very strong Hive ability, bulking him up to a good 70 Energy while significantly weakening opponents. He also has a Mugic counter that can be used to cast Unbalancing Battlesong, giving Hiadrom an even bigger advantage in combat. Hiadrom is thus a good option for Danian Compost decks, as Elna will give him the boost in every combat and his Mandiblor type means he is boosted by cards like Makanaz and Ivelaan after they are defeated.
Hiadrom is comparable to Irrabeq as a fighter. While Hiadrom has a stronger Hive ability than Irrabeq, Irrabeq's Water 5 makes him less reliant on Hive to deal damage and lets him use Water attacks more effectively than Hiadrom.
Hiadrom, Rock Ripper can gain Energy by expending Earth, and is best used in a strategy based around giving him Earth to expend repeatedly. For example, giving him a Citadel Lodestone allows him to expend for an extra 20 Energy at the start of every combat and then gain Earth right back, letting him use Earth attacks or expend again in an emergency.
